Its Been Real 2019

It’s that time again to take a moment and reflect on the end of the year and also the end of the decade. 2019 has been interesting, to say the least. This year has been full of tears, lessons, and accomplishments. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how the year was going to play out even though I wrote down my goals for the year. I wasn’t sure how to take the necessary steps to bring my goals to life. However, I was able to push through my doubts and accomplish most of the goals.  I couldn’t be prouder of myself. I think the themes of the year were growth, learning to love myself and becoming a better version of myself. I’ve learned that certain issues that you may be dealing with don’t define who you are as a person. Yes, there will always be obstacles in the way, but you have the power to rise above.

I’ve also learned to accept my life’s journey (finally I know). It’s been super hard to accept at first because I initially had this idea on how I wanted my life to be and it was going the opposite direction. This year, I just went with the flow. I’ve failed countless times, wanted to give up, cried immensely, but managed to get everything done. I’ve also placed my faith in God more than ever. He placed people around me that helped motivate, encourage, and push  me to be better and do better, for that I am grateful. 2019, you have given me my degree, a blog , a stronger relationship with God through baptism, friendships , and confidence. Can’t wait for what 2020 has in store for me.
